Rozafa e Shqiptarit Gjergj Kastrioti and a Castle Defence to be Planned, Structured and Finaly Implemented.

How I structure a modern-day defence, starting from an absolutely unfavourable situation and a number of factors and variables that are absolutely contrary to that objective.

By logical deduction, looking at the history of the post-World War II international conferences, very few people want us to prosper as an Albanian nation.

When one thinks of the fact that those who should have held our side and cared about our fate, did exactly the opposite, first separating us as a nation into several parts, and then tearing our territory apart, one shudders and wonders: if we could go back in time, would we still behave the same way knowing that ‘mora lumin te dhjefsha kalin’ nga ato e as gje me teper?

The more I read about the history of that not-so-distant past, the more I wonder what actually moved and moves the leadership of the West in the last ittanta years.

But what is the driver? I mean, how does it work?

It doesn't matter, because I think I understand by now, and frankly I don't need an answer from them, it wouldn't change things at all.

So as a nation, we are politically vulnerable to the great powers, undernumbered as a nation, under-industrialised, under-capitalised, but fortunately for us also under-esteemated.

All I can think about this is: how do we ‘ balancing in the head’?

Surely, there is a need for a 'hard core', a military brain trust that represents the different parts of the country from north to south and east to west, that acts in the national interest and is outside the political battalions of the left and the right.

Certainly, there is a need for a medium- to long-term strategic plan in all areas of responsibility and in every other aspect concerning the country and the nation.

Certainly, there is a need for a thorough and detailed analysis of what has not worked in the past and what has worked.
